Tear gas fired at junction of Nathan Rd / Gascoigne St. The police clearly don't want protesters to head towards PolyU.

Teargas buffet at the junction of Austin Rd / Nathan Rd. Police are firing teargas from inside the TST police station, while protesters are holding their ground in standoff, probably in an effort to draw police attention from PolyU.

Riot police have cordoned off Austin Rd, the fastest path to PolyU from Nathan Rd. After this video, they swarmed up to me, pinned me to the wall, forcibly removed my mask and searched my bag without my consent. No manner at all.

Can't get anywhere near PolyU. Police had cordoned off all the roads and alley ways in its vacinity. What the hell is going on in there? Whichever member of the press is still within that cordon - we're counting on you.

Can we compile a list of Twitter people who are still in PolyU so we can ask everyone to follow them? Internet, do the thing.

Back on Nathan/Austin, traffic has resumed after the earlier teargas buffet. However, I can still hear teargas pellets being fired from the direction of Mongkok.

Outside Jordan MTR station. Nathan Rd has been cordoned off. The police forced all pedastrians into smaller streets.

... then suddenly backs off. I thought they were gonna pull a Be Water but it seemed they were just falling back for now.

Standoff continues on Jordan Rd. I'm assuming all of this is still to draw the police away from PolyU. If that is the goal, protesters have certainly got their attention.

"走啦!走啦!" the protesters tell each other. The moment police tries to flank them from both sides, protesters immediately disappear in true Be Water fashion.

A protester got caught when he was becoming water. The police violently pushed me away, forcibly removed my mask, helmet, goggle, pushed me to the ground, and tried to grab my phone. I don't know what happened to the protester.

Warm story before signing off. I was resting by the street when this old man saw my reflective vest. He walked up to me and gave me this delicious chicken leg. "加油" he said to me then walked away without a word.
