    I have just opened a math textbook for the first time in 10 years and the amount of sense life has started making is mind-blowing. For starter, I have only just realised why Monoid is a subclass of Semigroup in Haskell. Because it's literally almost a Group, hence semi :facepalm:

    If it’s indeed the chatbot that comes up with the Hayvard joke, it’s an insane achievement. This joke is better than 90% of the open mic comedy scene...

    Bonus: Meena often seems to put together ideas in ways that we don't manage to find matches of in the data. For example saying that "Horses go to Hayvard" in conversation we show in the blog post .

    The fix: a human will come with a black umbrella to help block the ceiling light to pass the check but remove the umbrella when the photo is take because the photo looks fine either way... 🤷‍♂️

    The biometrics system at the Home Office is now automated. The camera to take your picture can automatically adjust to your height to take compliant photo. The catch: during my turn, it refused to take my photo due to “lighting too bright” even though it looks ok

    I did NOT know this was a thing: — but a/ micro-frontend is terrible branding and b/ we built an alternative to all the options listed here. Our approach can probably be branded as “render-time integration”.

    Bought a "smart" multicooker. After 3 uses, it broke. Replace it with a "dumb" cooker. While I was chatting with Amazon cs, forgot to turn off the stove and dumb cooker vomits all over the kitchen. Gonna Deliveroo dinner tonight. Where is the AI overlord when you need it?
