I remember reading this a year ago when it was initially tweeted. Made me angry then. Makes me angry now. They say "women and nonbinary people" but they mean "women and people I can easily pretend are women"

Agreed. That raises a lot of questions regarding the gatekeeping of certain queer spaces that are intented to exclude a certain category of people.

I fucking hate this with a fiery passion for so many reasons: 1) because they nearly always mean Non-binary =woman lite™ 2) because of shit like this. If you have an event and you want women and femme associated identities say that. Don't say Non-binary if you don't mean it

I'm a nonbinary woman/demigirl but I never really claim it or talk about it because I feel like it just contributes to the marginalization of afab nonbinary people and the notion that all nonbinary folk are lady-lite. It kinda sucks all around.
