the #campfire was not started by a campfire, it’s named that because of the area it started in. I believe the wind blew a tree down into a power line early this morning. That’s coming from my friend in Concow that has now lost everything.

Which area of Concow, if you know? My parents are there and I haven't heard anything.

I don’t :-( I just know he has a lot of land. He said by the time he was leaving his neighbors house was already gone. That was around 11am.. if you post their name with the hashtag people will retweet it. Also there is a Facebook page. I’d call the temporary shelters too.

I've talked with them now, in Yuba City hotel. House lost. Their place was just north of Concow Reservoir.

So glad they’re okay! So sorry they lost their home 😓 it’s devastating.

yep. Fires are always names after geographic features near them. often streets or roads. This one started by Camp Creek and was named "The Camp Fire" with a space- Not campfire.

The name of this fire is pretty confusing and leads a lot of people to think it was indeed started by a campfire. That is what I was told. In any event, wishing safety for everyone and their animals plus that the weather changes. I hate fires. :-(
