Have been waiting for a good no-KYC STX exchange to go further into the Stacks ecosystem. With the recent release of (by , same dev from marduk.exchange RBTC <> LN BTC swaps) I thought now would be the right time. Some thoughts on the experience so far:

On stacks.co/explore/find-a the only wallet that shows support for apps + using a hardware wallet is the wallet. But when you install the Hiro browser extension (the only version that supports Stacks apps) the only option is creating/restoring a hot wallet.

Is everyone using apps using a hot wallet? 🤔
That might be ok for low-value txs, but it's a bit inconvenient for hardware wallet users, and will make it hard to attract serious liquidity to the emerging DeFi and NFT marketplaces on Stacks.

To attract serious liquidity, Stacks community needs to put more effort into security. This includes hardware wallets, multisig, onchain and network-level privacy, and full node ease of use. Hardware wallet support is probably the biggest bang-for-buck improvement here.

Another thing I noticed: although Stacks now has a version of wrapped BTC (xBTC) and can use native BTC, most commerce seems to be in STX. Given the reverence I have seen in the Stacks community for BTC as the best money, I'd like to see more Stacks apps using BTC *as money*.

Small update. After looking around, I see there's an open issue regarding Hiro Wallet (browser extension) hardware wallet support:

and on Discord I found a message from the other day saying it's a work in progress, hopefully for more than just Ledger 🤞

one feature that'd be nice to have on would be the ability to buy from an item details page. currently the user has to go back a page and scroll down to find the item they were looking at to buy it. being able to go back to where they were in the list would be nice too.

Initial reaction using a app: even with microblocks, compared to @RSKsmart it feels slooooow, and RSK already feels slow compared to some of the newer Tendermint-based chains. The difference between waiting 30 seconds and waiting 5-10 mins (or longer!) per action is huge.

Agreed on hardware wallet for web (desktop one has it), it's in the pipeline.

Good news, thanks! I saw that yeah, but if I'm not mistaken these 1) aren't trustless like STX<>NFT swap, and 2) the seller is still receiving STX, as a seller I'd like to be able to stacks sats with my sales without having to go through STX first :)
