Too little, too late. But, nice to know Democrats are catching up! Saw all this unfolding a year+ ago in our national suburban qualitative research (https://research.n2america.us) for
Democrats entire covid agenda is centered on how they can punish kids the most. Maybe I’m old school, but this seems like a really bizarre political strategy when you need to win a big voting bloc of people — parents. https://twitter.com/MatthewFoldi/status/1494020487772610569…
Needless school closures. Unscientific child mask mandates. A woke war against merit-based schools and standards.
The far left even opposes basic K-12 transparency. They want parents sidelined and silenced.
Republicans stand with families. The party of parents has your back.
Americans who watched the Super Bowl saw rich celebrities having a grand time with hardly a mask in sight. But under many Democrats’ policies, K-12 students who watched that big maskless party on TV last night had to wake up this morning and cover their own faces to go to school.
NEWS: DC's @MayorBowser says District's indoor mask mandate will expire on Feb 28th.
That means no mask requirements in bars, restaurants, gyms, retail, etc - unless the business wants to keep them.
Masks will still be required in schools, healthcare facilities
Meet the moms who are are so fed up with our politics that they are actually running themselves. Or suing school boards. Or fundraising. Or organizing.
“I was a very liberal Democrat. Now, my vote is up for grabs to whoever puts kids first.”
Only kids need to wear masks
Especially 2 year olds
Even though they face the least risk
Not the politicians who make those mandates
Not even when they are around kids
The history books will remember this shameful hypocrisy
Rs continuing to lean into classroom politics messaging, believe it'll help w/ suburban/swing voters
Wrote in Nov. how GOP took cues from Youngkin's win. “Issues like school choice are going to be even more powerful messages next year,” Scalise told me.

Kids are locked out of school, locked out of learning, locked out of their childhood.
Celebrities and media personalities and hypocritical politicians are partying like it’s 2019.
That should disgust everyone.
Today my kids will go to school double masked, they will eat outside, they will mask outside at recess. They can’t mix with other cohorts. When parents in blue controlled America read this, it makes you want to cry. Must read!
Parents are sick of Dems anti-parent agenda from inflation, higher taxes, education standards/control. They will be instrumental in voting Dems out of power in 2022. See our survey.

Important read — “children should return to their normal lives this summer and in the upcoming school year, w out masks & regardless of vaccination status.” Thank you, thank you, Thank you
The #mentalhealth toll of pandemic restrictions on kids is huge. Let's root our policies & behaviors in science. #RollUpYourSleeves for the kids!!
HONORED to write w/ the indefatigable @MonicaGandhi9, @TracyBethHoeg & @KrugAlli.https://washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/05/26/its-time-children-finally-get-back-normal-life/…
"Education should not be partisan and most parents don’t believe it is. It’s something they want to do for their children."

"...@LieslHickey charged that "the school debate has exposed the unions for what they are most interested in: power and control. Not kids. Not education. Parents have felt this impact directly and they know where the blame lies."

NEW: Suburban voters critical to Democratic victories over past four years are giving @POTUS's proposed tax hikes a big thumbs down, per data gathered by a pair of conservative groups. https://washex.am/3g3nrY1@dcexaminer
“The pandemic has further illustrated the struggle: In too many public school districts with bloated bureaucracies and heavy-handed teachers unions, the adults come first. The kids come last.”
There’s no time left to waste because with each passing day our kids spend out of school, the more damage that is being done, academically, socially and emotionally.
For kids, school is everything. School is learning, lunch period, friends, the big game. School is where our future starts.
>> partnering with @theSGLF, N2 America announced a six-figure “Let Kids Learn” ad campaign today <<
So, with that in mind, I am grateful for, and humbled by, the kind and generous words of my mentor and friend @PatrickMcHenry, and hope I can live up to them.

When it comes to education in Florida, we’ve followed evidence and data, not special interests and hysteria. We did what was right by our students and families and we are not turning back.
Today is a really discouraging day. The Biden School Closing Plan is dressed up to make it appear they want schools to open but the details will have the exact opposite effect. This is a gift to unions and a betrayal of kids. 1/
Never been a fan of yard signs, but...
If, as many yard signs will inform you, “science is real,” then why are school boards in places like Fairfax County, Virginia, and Chicago so uncomfortable with the actual scientific prescriptions for opening schools?
