"Descended into lawlessness" is a strange phrase to be using about an American city, but it seems an accurate description of what's happening here.

The idea that is emerging in popularity is one of unequal justice under the law. A person's class, intersectional hierarchy, politics, etc. determines whether or not the law ought to be applied, and to what degree. It's the idea that justice is no longer blind, it's woke.

Yeah 100% there is a two tired Justice system where the rich can steal billions or tank the global economy through rampant speculation with no consequence while the poor who in many cases have no choice but petty theft face prison sentences for it.

Remember 2008, and think about the fact that right now, we are in a stock market bubble that WILL pop, WILL tank the world economy, and the hyper wealthy who caused it will face no consequences

And what YOU'RE worried about is a guy who probably doesn't have the money to buy soap and toothpaste stealing some from Walgreens because otherwise he can't bathe or brush his teeth. Fuck's sake

Do you think the billionaires who have made trillions in the past year have made that money because they pay their employees enough to live on? This man could have a job, you don’t even know. The problem is the shareholders of corporations needs are put above employees.
