So impressed with the vaccine centre at Batchwood yesterday - took my dad along: the organisation was faultless - lots of lovely volunteers, no delays all done in 20 mins. Definitely should be open 7 days a week!!

Not surprised. Even with 2m vaccines per week and 3,000 people offering the jabs that would be just 667 jabs a week or 95 a day, or 13 jabs an hour - based on 7-hour day. We have over capacity and under supply.

Why does he keep saying it’s a supply issue?pic.twitter.com/DwCZj26mL6

Good question. Something is seemingly holding up supply on the ground, if it isn’t manufacturing then it is either medical approval or distribution. Whatever is the case we need 4m doses a week if everyone in Phase One is to be fully vaccinated by mid-Spring.

I took my elderly mum in law to Batchwood a few days ago. We had to queue outside in the cold. It was a miserable experience for both of us. Nice to get vaccinated but it should be better. The
#NHS staff were wonderful. -
@StAlbansLDs are doing a super job there. Thank you,@lizneedhamSTAR,@SineadHowland and all your troops. I’m bringing my parents for their vaccinations tomorrow. - Show replies
