94 people desperately attempting to cross the channel into the 5th richest nation of nearly 70 million people - who refuse to help them - is not a migrant crisis. It’s a moral one.

Liam, they are still illegally entering the country! If they need to flee their country for safety reasons they have already found a safe haven in France. Why risk their children’s lives in trying to further reach the UK.

They have sailed illegally from a country that is just as rich and safe as us. They had no need to make that extra journey. The moment anyone leaves a safe country to try and get to another one illegally they cease to become refugees

They just left Macrons France, which last time I looked was quite a rich nation too - You wouldn't consider trying to enter another country illegally, why are you sympathising with people who do this?

100% agree with this. We can’t reasonably expect people to live in France. It’s hell on earth. We need to show more empathy and help people left fortunate than ourselves...

Import a city the size of Coventry each year and the housing stock will be impacted. Supply and demand. Absolutely the most basic economic concept. It’s not difficult.

You're talking about a Dunkirk style 'evacuation' and this clearly isn't happening and isn't going to happen. But then fear of foreigners is a good way for the Mail and Sun to distract from real issues like low paid workers relying on food banks.

O.N.S. Figures state house prices are 20% higher due to mass immigration. Bank of England suggests that wages impacted up to 20% for low paid and manual workers. Supply and demand. Big Business love unlimited access to low wage workers.

That house price rise probably due to Russian/Arabs buying houses to which our govmnts pander to and encourages. Do you really think the migrants crossing the channel have any wealth to buy houses with?

They won’t need it because they’ll get given everything for free which is why they’ve made every effort to get here!! Something for nothing...for some people of course. The rest of us have to work every hour possible till we drop down dead so these free loaders can get everything
