The lab leak hypothesis has gone mainstream. As a science reporter, this troubles me - because nearly all Australian experts I speak to view it as unlikely compared to zoonosis. Some thoughts here:https://www.theage.com.au/national/are-we-ignoring-the-hard-truths-about-the-most-likely-cause-of-covid-19-20210601-p57x4r.html#comments …

Also talk of origins distracts from the more serious issue that much of the developed world refused to do anything to suppress the virus, when it arrived. Which I suspect is part of why the origin thing gets re-hashed, as a distraction.

Imagine thinking it was important to properly investigate the cause of death of 4 to 14 million people.

Excellent warning about the easy blame route.

Truth could be somewhere in the middle. Scientists studying bats in Southern China caught the virus naturally and return infected back to the Wuhan lab where it spreads to other workers at the lab.

Thanks Liam. It's time to spread the truth as widely as possible, before it is too late. It seems that US government is putting pressure on American scientists, and, maybe in the near future, we will also be under pressure.

Great work Sir. Not often I see such informed journalism. Interesting that in trying to show balance, media give an impression experts are 50/50 on the lab leak theory. In truth, it's political BS & Chinese scientists who warned about the coming pandemic end up getting the blame
