Very good layman’s explanation of sensitivity and specificity and how they relate to true positive and false positives and why pretest probability (prevalence)is important to the interpretation of results. I could have used this video in my 1st year of med school.

A positive antibody count means you have some ability to fight a virus or bacteria. You could still have an active infection or not have enough immunity to avoid further infection. But it also means you have lymphocytes that can react to a virus immediately.
