Future wife moved in upstairs and we spent a couple of weeks checking each other out. Finally she got my attention by throwing her Kermit toy at my head as I was unlocking the front door and invited me upstairs to see her new computer. She made chocolate mousse.

Actually we do know the answer. Women weren't allowed to become astronauts for NASA until 1978, & one of the greatest astronauts of all time, Ed Dwight, was blocked from Apollo missions in the 60s because he was Black. NASA was not a meritocracy. Apparently neither is journalism.
