So, whats the argument that people on the watchlist NEED guns? Whats the harm in banning them from buying guns?

Ban them on what grounds? When a list is heavily weighted against Muslims...
-
We should be focused on banning assault rifles for -everyone-, not just Muslims and random people.
-
We should be careful not to use the fruits of systemic prejudice & abusive mass surveillance to simply get a symbolic win.

Many folks clinging to the terror watch list to get some win against guns don't seem to realize the islamophobia involved in it.
-
No one should have access to assault rifles, but pushing for restricting just those on a deeply flawed, prejudiced list... No.

@GeorgeWHerbert I have no problem prohibiting a 7 month old from buying guns. -
We do have other laws. Not being able to freely travel, however.
-
SCOTUS ruled (John Gilmore, remember?) that airplane travel is not a constitutional right.
-
Also, NO FLY LIST IS NOT BEING DEBATED. It should. But wow none of you cared until guns were involved.
-
Been ragging on the No-Fly list for years, Sean...
