I mean I think both are experiences that merit consideration and potentially coverage — it's just the media doesn't give as much attention to the former, because it's normalized and also less accessible to us

The vague whining that forms the crux of this article isn't newsworthy. If something truly scandalous happened, the journalistic thing to do would be to investigate, verify, then report. Instead flimsy social media accusations transform into a lazy tabloidy headline.

I read the entire article, and I'm really confused. What exactly are the claims being made against the show's working environment? I don't see anyone named, a specific comment cited, specific working conditions or anything to really criticize? "Never been more unhappy" = ?

I think that your framing of their complaints is Whataboutism in the sense that it doesn't matter if there are worse working conditions in the world, ABC can still be unacceptable despite ppl losing fingers out there...that said, I don't know what the actual claims are.
