I feel a deep dissatisfaction bordering on shame for earning a living without exerting physical labour. I go to the river most days and move stones to compensate. I wonder where that comes from? Working class expectations, socialised masculinity norms, biological drive...?

Seems to me this dissatisfaction has at least two parts: 1, conceptual self-judgment; 2, the body simply needing to move around more. In my experience the 2nd persists even in the absence of the 1st
