If you don’t have any more precise criticism of what he said than calling it bullshit, you’re just proving my point. Have you ever wondered if there’s a way to systematically improve one’s chances of being right? Is that all meaningful to you?

He did say it, though. It's just that he said it in a way you found difficult to comprehend. When someone writes something that someone else finds difficult to comprehend, the fault might lie with the writer, but it might also lie with the reader.

fwiw, the culprit is "which kinds of thought produce a map that reflects the territory" it's rare we can find a metaphor so perfect in its atrocity

It’s ironic that your critique of his phrasing contains an obvious misuse of the word “atrocity”

the word "ironic" may not mean what you make it mean, dear lawrus, more so considering korzybzki's original point about maps and roads why am i not surprised to see this

I have no idea, since I don’t know you, and in any case, looking at your other uses of the hashtag, which is new to me, I think you’re misreading me there. Anyway... What is it that you don’t like about Eliezer’s phrasing?

And if you prefer, you can substitute “sad” or “self-defeating” for “ironic” in my previous tweet

Now that I see you’re critiquing his statement for its content rather than its style, unlike the person I was originally responding to, I can accept the loose usage of the word “atrocity”. Please don’t take this as encouraging your patronizing behavior.
