In other words, to maintain the integrity of self in relationship to life/experience is not what it sounds like. Highlights the difference between maintaining integrity of something in relationship to a complicated vs. complex system...

In the former, there is necessary rigidity, a set of specifications. In the latter, necessary resiliency/adaptability. Life/experience is a complex system, and so spirituality can be defined as the practice of relating to it dynamically, letting go of rigid prior self-narratives
