Serious runners: what happened to minimalist/barefoot running trend? I still have my Inov8 shoes but now use them for weight training. Switched back to regular (though zero-drop) shoes for cardio after some injuries. This says fad came and went:https://www.runnersworld.com/gear/a22144396/best-minimalist-running-shoes/ …

I've been trying to ditch shoes altogether more personally but it has gotten harder to find good minimal shoes, it's become a special order thing

Doesn’t trail running hurt barefoot?

depends on the trail and foot condition - I have a big moral thing about not running through pain so I only do as much as feels good and then go back to sandals

I manage to be pain averse with no moral principles at all Huh I have barefoot morality

Moral principles are only necessary for justifying overriding your pain aversion anyway
