Ontological slippage is the worst. You think you’re assembling a baby carriage and before you know it you’re holding an AK-47 in your hands complaining about how it’s badly designed because it has no wheels and has this useless tube sticking out.

This is a type of ontological slippage called “unconscious enlistment in someone else’s army”. Someone who’s been watching you build it says, “sure it doesn’t hold your baby too well, but check out how fun it is to pull this trigger...”
