I’m guessing “it would be easier if I start a cult” comes from the realization of the level of commitment and trust from participants necessary to make it work? That willingness to commit & bond can be part of your search criteria

Yeah, but it isn’t just a general willingness to commit, but a willingness to commit to me and my group. It’s like getting married to a bunch of people.

Indeed—so the more clarity we have on what we’re going to be doing together, what this union is for, and the preferences, habits, limitations, etc. of each of us, the better a shot we have at making it work.
