Fun thing is, my desire to find some get-rich-quick vulnerability in Bitcoin got replaced over time with a desire to not find such a vulnerability, because finding one means that one exists and so the whole thing is in trouble.
Indeed, one of the brilliant aspects of the system's design is that anyone with enough hashing power to attack the system has a competing incentive to profit by helping it run properly. I guess this is also true not just of hashing power but brainpower
