It’s not that she’s “just a bartender”...no one cares about that. What people DO care about is that she is nearly less than a year removed from being a bartender and the media demands we take her seriously on major policy issues.

When you put her on the cover of Time and Rolling Stone, label her the “face of the party” and insist she should be listened to over more experienced members of Congress, it’s natural to question her qualifications.

Here's the thing, they do care or they wouldn't keep referring to her as "the bartender." Yet they have Trump who has no background in politics at all beyond racist birtherism and has proven time and time again a lack of understanding or even interest in understanding policies.

It’s not just the bartender things it’s also the fact she hadn’t even thought about running for office until her brother submitted her name in a contest and has been groomed by the justice Democrats ever since. But I agree Trump is not fit for office either.

The thing is, while she hasn't always been the best at describing her policies and I don't agree with her stances on several issues, she has been fantastic in these committee hearings. No wasted BS for the record, just specific, direct questions. She has a good team unlike Trump.

I’ll give you that she’s got a great team behind her but to say she’s fantastic in committee hearings is a bit strong. She’ll bring up obvious issues, which is great, but her answers (if she has any) to the problems are horrendous. Trump does the same thing.

Come on let’s not pretend she’s the only one bringing attention to the countries issues. Every politician has their talking points, some better than others.

Someone should ask him whether or not he believes that working, everyday people can run for office and represent the American people. If the answer is yes then the next question should be why did he refer to @AOC in such a diminishing way trying to belittle her by equating her

value to a position (in which everyday people can easily find themselves in)? If it's no, his base of working-class people, that he claims to love and support, will have it clear that he doesn't believe that they are smart, or capable enough to do things that,

by giving this answer, he holds for a different class of people, and not them.

The only problem with that reasoning is that Trump and syllogisms don't mix. He will claim whatever he wants regardless of contradiction, and his followers will repeat it blindly.

AOC 10 years out of college and she could not land a professional job related to her degree. she would still be bartending if her brother had not nominated her for politics.. she was a failure.. sorry but you have to do better than bartending after spending $50k on an BU degree

In case you didn't know, AOC was working as an educator during the day, and bartending at night to make ends meet. I've heard her speak on this.

Her greatest achievement in life, aside from graduating from Boston College with a worthless degree and a lot of debt, was being "a bartender"...So I find it amusing anytime the Bartender thinks she knows more than a self-made billionaire who has conquered multiple fields...

You missed out the 6 bankruptcy, the failed marriages, the numerous affairs, the inability to tell the truth, understanding etiquette on a world stage. I could go on but that should do for now.

I’m a grown ass woman who is a grandmother. I don’t care one bit if someone has divorced. As far as infidelity, that’s between the husband and wife. I find it hilarious that the dems think themselves tolerant while being so Puritan and judgemental.
