    Also police in New York and other big cities stop people who don’t look like the Proud Boys all the time and force them to answer questions they don’t want to answer just because they can. It’s a little ridiculous to act like they just needed time to figure things out.

    Me and were there, and thought it was crazy that police went after only counter protesters, not Patriot Prayer or Proud Boys. Now it’s been revealed they also knew PP had a CACHE OF WEAPONS

    Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said he did not learn of the armed rooftop Patriot Prayer members until today, 2+ months later. Which means police never told Wheeler, who is, as mayor, the Police Commissioner of Portland. I reckon many folks will be asking WHY

    NEWS: During the Aug. 4 Patriot Prayer rally, which drew more than 1,000 counter-protesters to downtown Portland, police found members of the right-wing group stationed on a rooftop w/ a "cache of weapons." They weren't arrested & public was never told.

    McInnes called me a “ridiculous fag” in August when I asked him for comment. When we spoke on the phone, he heard my voice and said, “Oh, great, you’re gay.”

    Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes said in his Newsmax TV interview today that the anti-gay slur used by one of the NYC attackers was "a terrible thing to say." Here's what McInnes wrote about the same word in 2011. (Intentionally not linking.)

    False. This individual does not speak for . We are a diverse org dedicated to keeping safe all 8.5M NY'ers & millions of visitors. Violence & disorder is unacceptable & will not be tolerated in NYC. We are aggressively investigating all leads, and will make arrests.

    Devastating couple of paragraphs here. Tech execs will never come to a full realization of their platforms' roles in genocide and the rise in authoritarianism, in part because doing it would require an overwhelmingly traumatic personal reckoning.

    Damn it's great that the (checks notes) Strategic Response Group, which was expanded by (checks notes) your push for 1300 extra cops, gives white supremacists a wink & nod but arrests BLM protesters for jaywalking.

    Sounds like NYPD might be close to making Proud Boy arrests...

    . on friday’s incident in the Upper East Side: The images that everybody saw from Friday night are certainly disturbing & outrageous. There is no place for that kind of violence & disorder anywhere in NYC. We are vigorously investigating all leads & will make arrests.
