How do you walk back the bs from the last 2-6 years? They have broken the brains of a lot of their voters who’ve actually believed all their conspiracy theories.

I don't think a GOP victory this week signals the End of Democracy. There's no final, definitive moment. There will remain many means of democratic resistance to authoritarian aspirations that the broad pro-democratic majority will have to use:courts, protest, elections, etc

Then maybe those in his party with power shouldn’t have made such a priority policies that are inflationary. The “American Rescue Plan” is going to be pumping $$$ into the economy for 3 more years. For example, Keystone was set to come online in 2023.

Obama: "I understand democracy may not seem like a top priority right now when gas and grocery prices are high... We've seen throughout history what happens when you give up on democracy. We can see it in other countries where gov't tells you what books you can read."

I love seeing all of these today. Politics is a team sport and you gotta support your side once you know who they are. Others should follow his example!

Arkansas deserves a true servant leader as Governor, @SarahHuckabee is the right woman at the right time. A vote for Sarah is a vote for safe communities, lower taxes, and better educational opportunities for our kids. Arkansas, get out and vote! sarahforgovernor.com

This is effing terrible and it’s incumbent on everyone with authority to make it stop. Making vaccinated 5 year olds mask in school is anti-science and anti-kid.

You'd think Jon Stewart would support the Senate Republicans' effort to make sure funding for burn pit victims can only be spent helping those victims. That he is unwilling to do that suggests he's more interested in helping Democrats than helping the vets.

Chuck doesn’t want to bring it up for a vote bc he doesn’t want it to pass.

The general consensus in GOP circles is this has a good chance of getting 60 votes in the Senate, as Manu notes. Dems say there isn't a lot of time to consider it, though twitter.com/mkraju/status/…

Now that cities like NYC & DC are seeing a small sample of what tiny TX & AZ border towns deal with daily, perhaps they’ll get some perspective on what it was like for Del Rio, TX, a population of 35,000, to have over 15,000 Haitians arrive in their city at once last September.

He is wrong in many ways 1 paxlovid in healthy young vax'd people has no data (await UK study) 2 boosters wear off and won't halt spread (optimum # debated) 3 mask mandates don't work 4 slowing spread is now pointless- we will all be infected many times Losing respect by the day

Dr. Ashish Jha, White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, advocates for the return of state & local mask mandates: "It really will make a difference." Riiight, just like the "difference" they made over the past two years. 🤣🤡
