This seems crazy but…. could it be that some advertisers don’t want to advertise on videos commenting on legal disputes with other companies they might advertise with? A real stretch that, but I have no idea

I'm fine if the companies choose to do that themselves. But this is YouTube self-censoring. YouTube got here by being open to content; now they are closing the doors behind them. This behavior will only be met with future regulation, imho.

Youtube may have viewed it as an attempt to lure people to another platform. Their bots are so broken (still training those learning bots lol) that theyd probably think that.

Vimeo is terrible for creators. Instead of getting paid to place content, they pay to place it. This is the opposite of how YouTube is *intended* to function. Vimeo is a service I actively encourage both creators and viewers to avoid.
