Thank you for your action but as Veteran here in Florida imo city inspector Melinda Power should be fired. she enjoys a salary provided by many Jax military members taxes-while being belligerent & insulting to fellow Vets & service. her behavior is unacceptable & inexcusable.
1. I Have directed city staff that military flags should be treated same as US flag. Let them fly. I Have reached out to the business owner & will review employee procedures. COJ employees r expected to be respectful of our customers - you, the people of Jacksonville.

Sir, that was very disrespectful to me, the veteran in the store, all the military personnel in Jacksonville, and all those who support the military. I just hope that necessary corrective action is taken againt the city official. That person has no place to represent the city!

Mr Mayor, I am a business owner in Jacksonville for more than 20 years and what this city employee has done while representing Jacksonville is beyond disturbing. I will be following this story very closely and paying attention to what action you take or lack there of.

Mr. Curry, I would seriously consider firing this employee. There needs to be some repercussions for her behavior toward a war veteran. It makes your city look incredibly bad.

McCain gave our enemy military secrets & locations that got Americans killed in Vietnam. Pretty boy, Jinx, Songbird are names given to him by military who served with him. So probably not the best comparison to your argument. I see your point of view and respectfully disagree.

My bff was in the Army then, I have first hand accounts of what our military heroes think about silver spoon in his mouth McCain. He accidentally caused that explosion and fire on that ship too, while sitting in his aircraft he dropped a bomb on deck.
