  1. Anthony Kennedy Was Useless - The political power of the US Supreme Court looks like a grotesque aberration. It's not a question of personnel, it's a profoundly anti-democratic distribution of political power.

We endorsed because we believe she is the future of the Democratic Party. Today, she ousted 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley. Here in New York, the progressive revolution has begun, and we could not be more proud to be a part of that movement.

Yikes. Acute analysis of the "Shipbuilding" problem on the Left: i.e. choosing between a Fantasy-of-Jobs vs Saving-Us-from-Total-Annihilation. No-one ever votes to save us from total annihilation.

An upgraded, publicly-owned and cheap train service is what you're looking for. Voting for a third runway is a shameful abdication of responsibility on climate change, and doing so specifically for internal flights (which should be banned) is even worse.

When proposals were put forward for Heathrow T5, the airport promised thousands more jobs. The airport now employs 3000 fewer people than it did before it was built. Trusting Heathrow on job creation in the face of catastrophic climate change is deeply misguided.

The devastating consequences of climate change will, in the not too distant future, be horrifyingly and indisputably clear. And the question future generations will ask our own will be: what did you do to stop this calamity unfolding.

Anyone surprised by this hasn't been paying attention. The last major act of environmental vandalism in favour of airports was Manchester's 2nd Runway in 1995/6. Mcr's Labour council were not only the instigators but also the major shareholders in the Ringway consortium

There is no rational argument for a third runway at Heathrow airport. Climate change is one of the great challenges of our time. There can be no economy ‘for the many’ with fossil fuel fanaticism. Any MP in receipt of the facts should vote against

i think the degree to which fascism as aestheticization-of-politics matches the internet's aestheticization of argument, where dunking on someone makes right is still underappreciated. The alternative is hard and boring.
