    Traffic update at 2013hrs. Due to a police incident the A46 is closed Westbound between Birstall and Anstey junctions until further notice. Updates will follow but please find an alternative route in the meantime.

    A Leicester man who raped and falsely imprisoned a woman has been found guilty. Abdiraxman Abdellahi was convicted at Leicester Crown Court yesterday for three counts of rape, digital penetration and false imprisonment. He will be sentenced on Fri 10 Dec.

    Following a decamp from an RTC last night Katia, the Drone & local Officers have worked together and located the driver👏 Katia also attended a criminal damage where 2 suspects had run. 1 was detained by local officers, whilst Katia located the second suspect in a street nearby👌

    This Mercedes driver was stopped near Gipsy Lane this morning. He complained he'd be late for work but the officer told him a court summons would be landing in his in-tray. Reported for no insurance and only a provisional licence. Vehicle seized.
