You created an account with a fake name and photo to write about a local DA? Why? I noticed from your quickly thrown-together blog that you offer no solutions and only wildly sensationalized criticisms. Be a better person and a part of the solution.

yes, and it shouldn’t completely stop with the DA as it clearly does. SFPD skates entirely without criticism yet again. What’s the democratic process for recalling the Chief of Police?

If you think SFPD is the problem, you're not paying attention.

Yes, fake person, I have actually been paying attention. SFPOA fights accountability at every opportunity. https://transparentcalifornia.com/salaries/search/?a=san-francisco&q=officer&y= … https://www.sfexaminer.com/news/sfs-new-police-chief-defends-soaring-overtime-spending/ … https://www.sfexaminer.com/news/sfpd-slow-to-address-misconduct/ …https://ballotpedia.org/San_Francisco,_California,_Neighborhood_Crime_Unit_Creation,_Proposition_R_(November_2016) …

Gosh, I just can't imagine why a city obsessed with reducing the number of police officers would have to pay the few remaining so much overtime!

If you read the articles you'll see they were given additional funds on the condition that they hire more officers. They used it to pay overtime to existing officers instead. They've done this multiple times. Would you give up that overtime pay so easily?

Give me a break. SFPD is desperate to hire more officers.

I guarantee they have no problem getting someone to sit in a cruiser all day for $300k-$400k/yr

Are you open to accepting reality, even if it doesn't fit your narrative?https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2021/06/24/san-francisco-grapples-drastic-drop-police-recruits/ …

"Study commissioned by SFBOS says more officers are needed." Yes? Never disagreed with that part. They ask for more money, they get it, they hire some, but mainly use it to pay for more overtime. They are corrupt like many other city departments. Age old.pic.twitter.com/AAGpE7Rnha
