no, we call those elections, michelle. hijacking a public budget to administer an off-cycle election because your preferred candidate didn't win is some first-class bullshit. when i have some downtime i'll work on the recall process to ensure that folks need to pay for it first

This isn’t a “hijacking”, Debra, and is far less about “preferred candidates” - the mayor in this instance will choose the interim should the voters elect to remove the DA. This is about indefensible decisions by the DA’s office, and the irreparable harm resulting from them.
