Whether one is thinking globally and acting locally, what’s not working in San Francisco is a hell of a lot, and it’s no longer “system/ic failures”. Overall, the US “criminal justice” system needs a lot of work, but that cannot be used to excuse or obfuscate the failings here.
It SAS didn’t help that the one in the intersection behind the wheel was a career felon, armed and impaired, in a car he stole, though did it? Could’ve happened to anyone, anytime? The other actions = him there were being out on the streets (chesa & parole) and his own will. No?
