It’s because we recognize the regular players and no one wants to admit there is a revolving door of crime happening in this city. You are definitely on your own #SanFrancisco sorry, not sorry. @SFPDChief doesn’t care, he’s just there to pick up the pieces.

Should we put everyone who commits a crime in jail forever? Young people make mistakes. Young people in neighborhoods with a lot of police are more likely to get caught and then have a felony on their record. How do they get a legitimate job after that? Most likely they don’t.
-
Of course not. I abhor both capital punishment and solitary confinement, in my view both unconstitutional. Some people do belong in prison for life though. What are they getting caught for? Some actions are felonies because society has judged them to be so harmful to others.

So the answer in lock up more people for longer periods of time? How long do you think it will take to get them to stop selling when they get out? Two year? 5 years? Ten years? 20 years? You don’t mind spending your tax money on that? Why not jail for life? That will fix it.
-
No, not more people for longer periods of time. What recidivist felon dealers do for a living, without any real consequence, is literally killing addicts. Nearly one a day on SF streets.
