The junkies & the bridge and tunnel goons are getting more bold they know it’s a general sense of lawlessness more so since SIP which is why we need Federal intervention

“The junkies?” You mean the people who have always existed who we fail to house over&over? Incompassionate to vilify them in comparisons to “bridge/tunnel.” One group has the ability/privilege to SiP. The other gets more desperate by the day. Careful what you’re calling out.

More importantly, where is the money for housing? There are so many empty buildings and even fully functional non-franchised hotels that the city could easily purchase and start providing rooms we also have the money to hire counselors for job placement and nurses for care. There

are already tons of nonprofit and volunteer workers that service this demographic without funding, but the city is still sitting on its wealth and real estate for its own sake. Remember Prop C? That was supposed to generate new teams within public health dept. to begin addressing

These problems. They started but with the magic of bureaucracy, nothing was actually implemented. Instead the financially failed navigation center in mission street never reopened. No one was hired. No group currently working was funded or asked for advice and guidance. Instead

We just have yet another mayor who is more loyal to the real estate market than the systemically oppressed people dying in the street. Shameful.

The people in the street have serious and severe addiction and mental health issues to start, regardless of any “systemic oppression”, more die from ODs than from COVID19. All mayors from Brown to Agnos to Newsom kicked the can in one way or another, the City Family is in charge.
