Just got physically attacked by a homeless person at Safeway in San Francisco. The guards watched it. The cashier saw it. Other shoppers gasped. But no one did anything. And just like that, I had to ignore it too. Wonder how long will this all continue. SF is not safe.

Yeah, homelessness is a big problem but arresting and throwing them in jail is not the answer - i don’t know if tweeting
@chesaboudin is the answer, these people need help and mental health facilities and a roof over their head - perhaps@GavinNewsom and@sfmayoroffice ?12 replies 0 retweets 11 likes -

I am all for helping and I feel SF is as compassionate a city as they come by. But if you follow this thread you are seeing just way too many instances where innocents are being attacked with no real consequences. Something has got to give. This' not normal.

I agree it's not and a lot of us have felt it personally. Yes, the city has to do more. I am still waiting for practical solutions. I get the anger and pain. What can we as citizens of this city do to provide solutions that are workable long term? We have had this for decades.

Elect different people for starters. The governor @GavinNewsom was mayor here (mostly) for two terms. What did he accomplish then? The budget has doubled since he was here.
