Sweetie people stole things before Prop 47. It is still a crime. Just not a felony if worth less than $950. Before Prop 47 it had to be over $450. My Price is Right skills tell me this is way under in either scenario. So try again.

We should really lay into you. You are probably a Public Defender too with no real prosecutorial skills. A lot of nerve mocking the residents and non residents (tourist) who have been victims of Prop 47.

Not trying to mock at all. Trying to clarify some very common misunderstanding about Prop 47. It is often blamed for things inaccurately. Theft is still a crime. That has not changed. Only the level of punishment changed.

That is, if it’s prosecuted at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ otherwise it’s just a crime in name only.

Who knows better about laws a lawyer with experience or some random person who isn't a lawyer?

Knows better about laws? Or knows more about laws? You’re aware of what the district attorney’s office job is to do, right?

Great, and the DA Office’s job is to do what?
