Kurt Vonnegut, who lost his mother to suicide, and had been tempted himself, asked his son, a doctor, what life was all about, what was the point? His son thought for a long time and replied: “We’re here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is.”

Manuel came to this country at age 3. He was supposed to graduate high school this year. Now he's dead. This isn't the America we want to live in.

I've seen so many people on here today opening up; being generous, sincere, and kind; and looking out for others. It should not take a terrible tragedy for this to happen. Times are tough and many are in pain. It's great to see offers of help and support. Please don't stop.

Kids in what looked like dog kennels. Children using space blankets as a cushion or cover for privacy. What I saw at the processing center was shocking and heartbreaking. We have to keep speaking out about this inhumane treatment.

Really proud of the hashtag. I openly admit that I am someone who lives with depression and anxiety, but sometimes I hide just how bad it really is. The important thing to know is you are never alone, even if you think you are.

Many are saying that Trump is doing Russia's bidding. What they mean is that the Republican leadership is doing Russia's bidding (while spouting empty words about patriotism) because they could put a stop to this in a day.

Hey, ever been pregnant? Taken medicine for acne or anxiety or asthma? Been injured? Had surgery? Or anything listed below? Congrats, you have a preexisting condition and the Trump administration is trying to make it legal (again) for insurers to price you out of the market.

This is honestly one of the most heartbreaking articles I've ever read ... and every American needs to read it, retweet it, put it on their facebook page, put it up at work. Americans need to know the barbarity that their government is doing in their name

"In 2011, the thought of terrorism organized by a group of sexist men online was laughable. So I did the professional thing: I laughed it off. I moved on." This post is basically every over-30 feminist writer's career.
