In Singapore we do have e-payments, but too many schemes & systems - inconvenient for consumers and costly for businesses. #ndrsgpic.twitter.com/GRXwWJIkeW

Supporting a monopoly wouldn't be a good idea. Why only We Chat and Alipay ? Consumers suffer when any product or service is monopolized.

1/ Create a payments licence separated from banking license with less restrictions for startups, similar to what the UK GOV did recently.

2/ Stop favouring the current bank ogliopoly and incentivize new entrants to come in without their involvement.
