Maybe. He kept it in 2017 even though it made passing both of the main Republicans priorities much harder due to reconciliation rules.

GOP had unified control in 2017 and didn't get rid of filibuster.
-
It's cause the fillibuster is the GOP's best friend. They would never get rid of it.

Why haven't Republicans eliminated it previously, say after the 2016 election?
-
Why didn't Democrats eliminate it in 2009? Things are changing.

If filibuster carve outs can be used by the GOP for tax cuts and SCOTUS nominees, then I think they can be used to save our democracy with voting rights legislation. Don’t you?

McConnell is very comfortable with nothing happening & preserving the status quo, so yes - unless Biden's legislative agenda achieved thru reconciliation proves so bold that there is wide demand from GOP donor class to undo it thru any means necessary.

I would put it this way -- if McConnell thought there an advantage to getting rid of the legislative filibuster, he already would get rid of the legislative filibuster. Past performance indicates he thinks it's to his advantage to keep it.
-
for the record, though, that's still a reason to get rid of it. if he has less to gain than Dems by abolishing it, it should be abolished.
