    I get that. I do things in Emacs and IDE users are like "whoa, what did you just do?" and I'm not actually sure. I've been doing it for so long, the key sequence is muscle memory, and I almost can't describe the command. I just do it.

    M-x ediff-buffers is my go-to for sepping through similar files, however I haven't branched out to the other tools in this package. What's your favorite Ediff feature/function? Why?

    Need to change alot of file names in a directory at once? Dired to the rescue! M-x dired C-x C-q (to toggle dired buffer/dir read-only) query-replace (or any other method to alter file names) C-c C-c (save changes) Done!

    Making & Deleting blank lines: If your point/cursor lies within several blank lines C-x C-o will delete all but one blank line, another C-x C-o will delete that last empty line. C-o will insert a new blank line but leave your point before the newlines.
