Jeff Leach Retweeted Pastors for Children

Nothing nefarious about it. 70% of Texans - including many teachers I know - oppose politicians raiding their paychecks with an income tax. Protecting taxpayers, growing our state’s economy and making more $$$ available for public education is a plan not a ploy! #VoteFORProp4https://twitter.com/pastors4txkids/status/1189876238292307972 …

    Pastors for Children @pastors4txkids
Read this thread from @cjtackett about the sham that is Prop 4. This measure is yet another ploy to manipulate voters and hurt public education. Vote NO on Prop 4! https://twitter.com/cjtackett/status/1189863716378030080 …

Sad that a pastors group would lie about prop 4.

As you know, our TX state constitution already prohibits an income tax. A tax is not a “raid” on anyone or anything. It is an investment in our own interest and our children’s future—namely fully-funded public schools with highly paid teachers.

Re. “Growing our state’s economy” Bathroom bill would hurt our state’s economy as it did in North Carolina. Your advocacy of it was a direct threat to business climate & resulted in lost revenue just due to threat of bathroom bill’s passage. #txlege

And now he and his right wing cronies are using a 7 year old child to rile up the same people. I hope Texans are smart enough to see it.

No it doesn’t make it impossible to get a state tax through but it does make it more difficult becaus when it comes to taxes getting both sides to agree with a normal vote required is next to impossible much less a majority vote.

All you’re doing is trying to get re elected next year with this proposition. It’s embarrassing.
