AND! Non-profit employees DESERVE to be paid fair market wage. There shouldn’t be a tax for wanting to contribute to your society. I’m so fucking tired of hearing they can’t get paid well because “it’ll look bad.” I have a lot of rage around this issue.https://twitter.com/QuetzalliAle/status/1133003047796236288 …

Part of it is looking like you're too well off to donors from a fundraising perspective. Developmentally, you have to decide whether you're going to be the poor non-profit that begs for help or the fancy non-profit that allows super rich people to feel better about themselves.

Do we know how “successful” those different types of non-profs are?

I don’t think it’s black & white.

I understood that "success" was subjective, but figured I'd attempt the question anyway to see what I would get. Thanks for your answer! This sounds like something

I got you were asking that - and know you know it’s a tricky answer. Some focus on the $$ only and that always, always includes backlash. It’s unfortunate.

To your knowledge, has there been any significant attempt to study and compare the "effectiveness" of various types of non-profits? Again there's a wide range of subjectivity there, but now very curious to see some direct comparisons of their end "results".

I’m not sure. Is there a type you’re looking for? Categories likely narrow focus. Try this - looks somewhat promisinghttps://www.councilofnonprofits.org

No types in particular. Now I'm just curious about methodologies. Thanks!
