Awesome presentation by at FOSDEM 2020 on Datadog's learnings while dealing with kube-proxy and how they ended up with Cilium as a kube-proxy replacement in the end.

Awesome article Sandeep! HUGE thanks for sharing! The folks at datadog are also doing some killer things with audit logs. I have a WHOLE new respect for the API server after watching the attached video and 's grokking the API server TGIKs!

✍️ Follow-up: by default, Ubuntu servers send quite a bit of personal/identifiable information back to them, whenever you log in. This is done via the MOTD scripts. 🤔 Let's have a look at the data being gathered & sent. 😬

Working with the Datadog teams has been a fantastic experience. Both the k8s infrastructure team running Cilium and the metrics team working on the Cilium integration have amazing talent.
