Sure seems like LGR meets the requirements, but then I get this email. Will absolutely be submitting a dispute.pic.twitter.com/lCMwZMZ57m

I can't imagine how this makes anything better for anyone. The biggest channels don't require this kind of thing. What it DOES do is screw with "normal" channels like mine that have actually had frequent problems with scam accounts impersonating LGR and spamming in the comments.
YouTube says they don't want to imply that they "endorse" verified channels, yet that's exactly what this move accomplishes. If only select celebrities, talk show hosts, publishers, YouTubers, and signed musicians are verified, that looks like a greater endorsement than before.
Also, I find it highly amusing that YouTube themselves *just* offered to sign me onto a highly lucrative advertising deal very recently, apparently as one of a select few channels. I declined due to the advertiser's business practices conflicting with my views. Now this? Heh.
I say this as a rebuttal to the idea it's all about YT only wanting to work with channels that are most advertiser-friendly. They know advertisers dig LGR or they wouldn't have made that offer. Repeatedly. I don't think it's about advertising. I think it's about incompetence.
Anyway, rant over. Dispute submitted. by the way I'M BACK FROM THE TRIP! Met hundreds of LGR viewers and had an exceptional time :D Very ready to get to work on the next video despite the ongoing silliness, hehe.
I'm starting to wonder WHO is actually keeping verified status at this rate?
Brands and Will Smith
YouTube should soon (hopefully) realize every damn YouTuber on the internet (everybody by that logic) is complaining about these changes. How do they keep screwing up so bad!?
OH youtube realized, youtube doesn't care.
