1/"Highly paid?" - I guess these things are relative. Re: courage, is your argument that, unless someone is at the current global maximum level of courage, they can't be lauded for any courage at all? Seems an odd position. Why not just say it may be courageous but you disagree?

Assume, for the sake of argument, that writing an op-ed with certain content means that you run the risk of losing your job, being socially ostracized, and a Twitter mob forming to assail you. Is it not then "courageous" to risk those things? Or is it physical derring-do only?
