<whispering> gerrymandering & the Electoral College enable a minority of the population to control the govt and do crazy, even wildly unpopular things, and even a strong majority can't stop them </whispering>

But I keep hearing residents of NY and CA complain that the electoral college unfairly (immorally?) disenfranchises voters. Those residents should be anxious to correct this injustice in their own states.
-
Right -- something Dem voters in Texas and Florida no doubt sympathize with
-
If Dem voters in California really think that it is unjust or immoral to deprive voters of proportional representation, they can actually do something about it in California, where they have the votes to correct the injustice.
-
Yes I'm sure if they did Texas would immediately follow suit ...
-
I don’t think you have to expect the favor to be returned in other states where it helps your party in order to correct grave injustices in your own state.
-
No one in their right mind in any state would ever do this unless other states did it (and even then they might not). Of course this issue would be resolved if EC tossed and was replaced by popular vote
-
Is that just a fancy way to say that people don't really believe that it's an immoral/unjust system? ;)
-
No. And you know that.
