This piece does not mention Mike Allen. This did not happen in a vacuum. And I think it misrepresents the DC press corps by ignoring all the reporters who don't do this type of reporting

To be fair, Politico was a breath of fresh air when it started. Before that, a lot of DC political reporting was incredibly stodgy and dull
