Conservative justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch say they would have granted the request. Chief Justice Roberts silent

Five votes are needed to grant such a request. Outcome could be different in a few months if Kavanaugh is confirmed

Are we really in 2018 and still talking about our gay community not being acceptable? Come on surely we got more to worry about than someone sexual preference? If they can do great job as a foster parent then who cares about thier colour, race or sexual preference!

Thank you for the support. Just to help you out, it's an orientation, not a preference. Preferences chance, but someone doesn't stop being gay 🙂

This has nothing to do with gays and every thing to do with corrupt church officials that will not own the fact that priests have been raping children for years on all continents.

Thank you Catholic Social Services for having had my back when no one else did. I have done ok since you placed me at six weeks old. I now speak four languages and have an MBA from Duke. So glad you made sure I had a mom and a dad and if that offends anyone, sorry but not sorry.

Are you saying that two women can't raise someone to be successful? Are you saying that women are incapable of that without a man?

I’m saying that I’m glad I was raised by a mother and a father. I’m saying that CATHOLIC Social Services is a religious charity that helps solve a problem for society. Respect their beliefs. They are not some state organization. And who suffers because of this insanity? Orphans.

I respect their beliefs; I'm Christian myself... But you seem to be implying that you would not have succeeded if you had two fathers, or two mothers

Just saying that I’m happy to have had both a father AND a mother. There is a reason nature provides both. We learn different things from each. Gender roles are real and beneficial to human beings. What the city of Philadelphia has done is quite simply evil. Children will suffer.

Your bigotry & ignorance is showing. There’s never enough foster parents to go around. Never. What the Philadelphia did by allowing gay couples to be foster parents is make sure there are more available foster parents for children who need them. That’s the opposite of evil.

Good bc god wouldn’t have cared as long as the child was loved and safe. Unlike the catholic homes like the one that killed and abused children st Joseph s in NH.

So many negatives... So, like.... Supreme Court decided same-sex couples can be foster parents?
