In this case, the Trump administration sided with the Archdiocese, which was represented by Bush solicitor general Paul Clement. WMATA, defending its ad ban, was represented by former Obama solicitor general Don Verrilli

Case could head toward Supreme Court but presumably a Justice Kavanaugh would have to recuse himself, meaning there would be the potential for a 4-4 split
