What do you mean by solo dissent? It was a 5-4 decision.

Justice Breyer wrote the main dissent, which the other liberals joined. But Sotomayor wrote her own as well that no one joined

This makes me think Mitch McConnell knew what Russia was planning for the 2016 election, and why he blocked Obama from getting Merrick Garland to go to a a vote. McConnell is up to his turtle shell in the Russia story.

It is amazing that states and parties are afraid of voters. Why would you keep people off the voting rolls unless you have something to hide?

But I bet you need an ID to work, buy alcohol, board a plane, open a bank account, get into the military and on and on. Voting is a supreme right of America’s citizens and we take it seriously and having an ID cuts out on fraud. There’s nothing harsh there.
