This week's DC Circuit Rev'd discusses a national crisis: How can the #SCOTUS possibly decide 29 cases in a single month? Poor @danepps!http://yalejreg.com/nc/d-c-circuit-review-reviewed-boo-hoo-daniel-epps/ …
This time last year we were awaiting 28 rulings in argued cases plus travel ban stay application

Good point. Part of the issue here is that the denominator of total cases is small this term, so as a percentage, 29 is high. But things are still pretty normal.
-
Of course one difference to last term is that this term there are more "big" cases
-
We need to implement a degree of difficulty multiplier.

yeah, a lot of potentially huge cases to come, and that was not really true at this point last year. I agree there is often a rush, and this year is not wildly out of line even if a bit slower than before. I'm mostly worried about big ops leading to rush jobs in smaller ones

I agree. To be sure, I'm not *that* worried -- the concern is at the margins. But for some of the big cases, I wouldn't mind a statement like this: https://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=2539582695600411733&q=chenery+1947&hl=en&as_sdt=6,45#r[2 …]pic.twitter.com/BhNl7ZWw6C

Didn’t they have to add days last June for releasing opinions?
